There are at least 1000 creative and knowledge economy entities in the central city, from Mouille Point to Salt River. Creative Cape Town surveyed the sector and pinpointed the businesses, NGOs and individuals who spur Cape Town’s creative industires. The maps on this page give the GIS locations of the key entities in our databases, with whatever relevant information we have. We have recently produced a cultural tourism map with A&C Maps, designed by Design Infestation. Download it here (PDF, 3.1MB). This selection of cultural must-see’s (from the more than 150 venues and sites in the central city) is aimed at the visitor who wants to discover Cape Town beyond The Mountain and The Island. Use it to discover the central city’s cosmopolitan hot spots and to gain a deeper understanding of people’s social expression in Post-Apartheid Cape Town.
