It’s time for the people involved behind the scenes in the live music industry to be recognized. The Western Cape Music Industry is looking for people to compete in its Battle of the Gigs live music industry talent competition. This one is not for the musicians themselves, but for the people who make events happen behind the scenes – the event co-ordinators, sound technicians, photographers, marketers or graphic designers in the music industry.
The Cape MIC believes that the industry is full of talent, diversity and beauty and is therefore keen to be part of building a bigger and more bountiful base for the sound of music.
At its core, Cape MIC connects composers, performers, producers, engineers and music industry executives to encourage dialogue and collaboration through establishing and developing positive relationships between all participants in the industry, and amplifying new opportunities, trends and technologies.
