New Vaudeville supper club is a treat

Walking into Vaudeville, the new performance supper club in the Foreshore is a treat. A gigantic “poodle” and his mistress on stilts form part of the wacky and very friendly welcome team which includes a jilted bride, a sad penguin man, and a glass of watermelon juice spiked with vodka . And that’s just the beginning!

If you missed the Madame Zingara circus tent experience complete with a show of acrobats, contortionists, music, dancing, good times and great food, then Vaudeville is for you. An enhanced experience, now indoors, the venue also contains the Fez nightclub, so once you have done with the show you can continue partying in what is one of the longest running club experiences in the city. Snippets of 20s and 50s video imagery are projected around the venue enhancing the surreal fun world that has been created and even the friendly and efficient waitering staff are in costume. You are invited to do the same and either come in something wacky or you can buy masks, fluffy boas and more at the venue. A visit to Vaudeville is best done with a group of friends and the most exuberant table stands a chance to win a bottle of bubbly.

The Vaudeville experience begins around 18h30 with delicious mezze starters and a brilliant four piece live band and is followed by the inimitable Irit Noble and a number of great performers who take the stage between courses. There is a choice of three main meals and the meal ends with a yummy dessert.

Its well worth the experience and has within a short time become a popular spot. It’s advisable to book – check out the website at www.vaudeville.co.za
