News from The Old Biscuit Mill

Biscuit MillFashion lovers have a new treat in store for them at one of the city’s most loved venues. Every Friday night, the Old Biscuit Mill will transform into a world of fashion, style and design at the recently launched Mobile Boutique.

The brainchild of well-known local designer Andrew Clarke, The Mobile Boutique (TMB) will focus on building South African brands in a social environment of safe shopping. The work of 48 young SA fashion designers will be showcased every week, including Paige Smith, Amanda Laird Cherry, Guillemette & Melodie, Pseudonym, Mat Blanc, Darkie and Golden Monkey.

TMB aims to provide new and emerging designers, as well as established brands, the opportunity to present and market their labels to the public without having to pay overheads of commercial retail space.

Andrew hopes that TMB will transform raw design talent into business savvy by mentoring new designers and providing them with practical business advice.

The Mobile Boutique will be held every Friday night from 6m to 11pm at The Old Biscuit Mill. It will trade during the festive season. Contact Andrew on 072 028 6584 or at Andrew@themobileboutique.co.za.
