Now you can redesign it too. A hefty chunk of change is up for grabs in Design Indaba’s Your Street challenge.

Designers have the opportunity to vie for prizes valued to up to R250 000. First prize of R100 000 will go to the designer with not only the best idea, but who can also present a reasonable business model demonstrating how the idea can be achieved. For three pioneering second-place winners R50 000 will be awarded, to be put into practice immediately.

The Your Street competition encourages creative minds to apply Cape Town’s World Design Capital bid slogan

5. Do-ability: Can the design solution actually be executed?
